Somebody asked, why is there a Coffee Roastery named Mangkas?

We pay tribute to the great reverence, kindness, and leadership of Mangkas, a negrito warrior who once lived within the peaceful creek of Canman-ug in a settlement called Simangkas - the old name of La Carlota.

We use the values of Mangkas as a  guiding principle as we roast not just coffees from our community, but also coffees from all over the world.
